CITC launched a centre to accelerate leadership development in Nigeria and Sub-Saharn Africa. Its Governing Council members, Advisory Board members and Faculty members were also formally unveiled at the maiden Communication Event; The Leadership MasterClass.
The Leadership Centre seeks to transform the business landscape, national and regional economies by developing a powerful network of leaders to address Sub-Saharan Africa’s greatest challenges. The centre is structured to bring to bear the Nigerian and African hands-on experiences and exposures of respected Leaders with achievements, with the view to promoting corporate excellence & trans-generational leadership.
Speaking at event, Dr. Biodun Adedipe, an economist and a member of its Governing Council and MasterClass Speaker spoke about how, as a nation, we need to address how people ascend to leadership positions without preparation, and then fail to rise up to the demands of the positions they fortunately find themselves in, thereby contributing immensely to the weak institutions.
Introducing the Programs and Communications Events of the Centre, Mr. Tayo Orekoya, the Centre’s President requested the nation to be on the lookout to participate in these events which will include Town Hall Meetings, National Leadership Index, Internship Opportunities, Research & Development and Partnership with Corporate Organisation on Leadership Development as CSR initiatives.”

The event was interactive and filled with quick-hitting expert presentations and robust brainstorming sessions that will form the basis for actionable next-steps plan by delegates.
