Lagos, April 1, 2026: Pentagon Partners Legal Practitioners, in marking her twelfth anniversary, renames its National Essay Competition in honour of one of the Founding Partners of the Firm Eghosa Courage Isibor of blessed memory, who passed on January 26, 2025.
The 3rd edition since its inception in 2022, the National Essay Competition will now be known as Eghosa Courage Isibor National Essay Competition.
According to Mr. Kanayo Okoye, Managing Partner at Pentagon Partners, “Eghosa embodied excellence, mentorship, and a deep commitment to developing young lawyers. This competition preserves that legacy by providing students with a national platform to demonstrate rigorous legal thinking.”
The competition invites final-year law students across Nigeria Universities to submit essays on the following topic: “Electronic Transmission of Results under Nigeria’s Electoral Act 2026: Reform or Illusion.” Submissions open April 1, 2026. This call for entries reflects the firm’s continuing commitment to academic excellence, youth development, and legal scholarship.
Cash prizes, recognition awards, and mentorship opportunities will be presented to winning students. Detailed submission guidelines, deadlines, and guiding criteria will be published on the firm’s website and social media platforms.
