The Marina District of the Eko Atlantic City has been planned as a luxury mixed use community with a handful of residential, retail and office developments. The district will have views of the Atlantic Ocean from one side and of the entrance to the port of Lagos on the other.  Eko Atlantic City currently has many other luxury projects located in other districts. Some of them include:

  • A&A Towers by Arkland Properties and Investment,
  • Pan Atlantis Towers by Periwinkle Residences,
  • Eko Pearl (Champagne Tower) and Eko Pearl (Black Tower) by ESLA (Elias Saad Leading Association) and
  •  Amni Towers by Amni International Petroleum Development Company.

The Azuri project is being developed by Eko Development Company, designed by Genslar, and executed by ITB Nigeria.

The project sponsor of Azuri Towers is  Eko Development Company, while ITB Nigeria and Genslar are the main contractor and architect respectively. ITB Nigeria has also been involved with other notable projects in Nigeria such as: Eko Tower, Lagos Continental Hotel, Kings Tower, Alpha One among many others. Genslar, the project’s world renowned architect, was involved in the design of the Imperial International Business City.

The Azuri Office Tower is the first of the three Towers to be completed and operations are set to begin by December 12th, 2021.

The Azuri Towers project, which commenced construction in 2017, will have it’s Office Tower fully ready by December, while the other two residential towers are expected to be opened in 2022. According to Eko Atlantic City, beneficial occupancy of the offices will commence on the 12th of December, 2021. According to Mr. Opayinka, “the office tower will have 28 floors and about c. 27,000sqm of office space resting on a four floor parking space and podium.”

The other two residential towers i.e Azuri One and Azuri Two towers will offer up to 130 residential apartments all together. These units comprise: luxury 3 and 4 bed apartments, and 6-bed simplexes (penthouses). These will also feature amenities such as:

  • Private outdoor swimming pool,
  • State of the art gym,
  • Games room,

Once completed, one of the Residential Towers among the Azuri Towers will be the tallest residential tower in Nigeria.

The Azuri Towers are built in such a way that all three towers have an unobscured 360 degrees view meaning that no tower blocks the view of another. According to Mr. Opayinka, one of the residential towers – Azuri One, will be the tallest residential tower in Nigeria, having 33 floors and a height of 146 meters. The second and  third  place are:

  • Eko Champagne Pearl Tower with 34 floors (135meters) ,
  • Eko Black Pearl Tower with 26 floors (113 meters).
