First Bank Nig. Holdings Plc, the parent company of First Bank, traded the highest in volume and value at today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange. The bank’s share price, however, declined from N12.55 the previous trading day to close today at N12.40.
This comes after the bank’s shares had experienced immense rally following the news making the rounds that Nigerian Billionaire, Femi Otedola had acquired a substantial shareholding in the bank.
FBNH Plc traded 73,062,391 units of shares today valued at N906.75 million as the share price declined by 1.20% from N12.55 per share to N12.40 per share.

The Nigerian Exchange closed on a flat note amidst sell-offs and buy-interests as the benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) remained unchanged at the end of the trading session.
The NGX ASI closed at 41,814.94 points from the previous trading day of 41,814.74 and the Year-to-Date (YTD) return stood at 3.83%. Meanwhile, the market capitalization increased by N107.05 billion.
At the close of market today, Tuesday, 26th October 2021, the stock exchange market value currently stands at N21.82 trillion. The market breadth closed positive as UPL led 22 Gainers, and 21 Losers topped by ABCTRANS at the end of today’s session.
