On Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th September 2021, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) organised this year’s edition of the Out-Of-Home Advertising Conference and Exhibition on the Roadmap for Growth of Signage and Out-Of-Home Advertisement Post COVID-19 in Lagos at the Eko Convention Center in Victoria Island. The event has proven to be a huge success, says organisers, participants and stakeholders.
The conference was educative and insightful with speeches from several dignitaries including Engr. Joe Igbokwe, Mrs Belinda Aderonke and Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu to name a few. Mr Tolu Ogunkoya gave a brilliant speech and presentation on The Future of Out-Of-Home Advertising in a Smart City Lagos, with a focus on global innovation which he tagged “award-winning ideas”, he stated that our impact at the end of the day depends on how well we utilize our advertising methods. Dr Joe Abah also delivered an intelligent speech highlighting the story of Ferruccio Lamborghini as he encouraged healthy competition and the fight against mediocrity, he said “While competition is an important element of growth in any industry, complacency is an antithesis to growth”.
Live music performances and a cultural dance presentation from the Lagos Tourism dance crew are just a few memorable moments from the event. The exhibition held the attendees attention both days of the event with participants connecting and meeting with the celebrities and dignitaries in attendance. The vendors displayed all sorts of goods and services, a few of them being Pepsi, Powerhouse Media and Eko Token. LASAA MD/CEO Prince Adedamola Docemo gave a speech to wrap up the event which ended in many hearty congratulations and a standing ovation.
LASAA did a great job organising the event along with their sponsors. The agency uses events like this one to create awareness and encourage advertising stakeholders to join them on their course to making Lagos state better. There is speculation of another edition of the event next year but no date has been announced. That will be some news to anticipate.
