Nigeria records system collapse during holidays

The Nigerian grid has experienced a partial collapse, dealing a blow for stay at home Nigerians during the holidays.

This was confirmed in a statement by the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), as seen by Nairametrics.

According to latest reports, partial restoration of power is already occurring across the country.

        Ibejulekki precisely Awoyaya and ologufe have been blank for months now, power trips off every 5 min after power turns on… So sad and majorities are on prepaid..

        Pls how do u intend paying your staffs when the card s are not reading? Please try everything possible to restore power back into the environment cause it’s not funny at all. Thanks

    We don’t care anymore. Sometimes, electricity is more stable when there is collapse of the grid. I cannot explain

    What were the reasons for system collapse across the nation, I hope it’s not what people are saying, few days ago we read that the governor of a state declared Boko Haram have taken over some parts of his state shiroro in particular was mentioned, insecurity seems to be taking its toll on a large scale

    Nigeria is very poor when it comes to electricity …if you want to make money from ppl of this country Nepa will say the light has spoiled….nepa has seen that everyone is trying to get prepaid.meter so no more cutting of light no more change in there pockets,nepa aahhh you wont get peace cus people stuff are spoiling,market women no light for business haaa what kind of government do we even have
    stupid wicked ppl ?‍♀️?‍♀️?‍♀️?‍♀️?‍♀️
