The world’s safe-haven currency was at record highs at the early hours of Wednesday trading session after preliminary results suggested President Donald Trump holds the edge of winning Democratic challenger Joe Biden in key battleground states.

At the time this report was drafted, the U.S dollar index used to gauge the U.S dollar strength against other global currencies, was up by over 0.5% trading at 94.135.
