Acting Managing Director of Tranmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Mr Sule Abdulaziz, has received an appointment letter from the Presidency sealing his appointment as Managing Director of the company.
On May 19, the Federal Government had announced the appointment of Sule Abdulaziz as Acting Managing Director, following the removal of Mr Usman Mohammed by the Minister of Power, Mr Sale Mamman.
In the same announcement, the government also confirmed the appointment of four Executive Directors, who had been on acting capacity.
These four senior management staff of the company, have likewise received their appointment letters.
According to the company’s General Manager Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah, the letters sealed their appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari, was received on June 8, 2020.
The letter which was signed by Mr Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated that the appointment of the Managing Director (MD) took effect from May 19, 2020.

On the other hand, the appointment of the four Executive Directors took effect from December 27, 2019, when they started acting in the capacity.
The appointment is for an initial period of four years.

With the confirmations, the management team now includes the Managing Director, Mr Sule Abdulaziz; Executive Director Transmission Service Provider, Mr Victor Adewumi; Executive Director Independent System Operator, Mr Maman Lawal; Executive Director Finance and Accounts Mr Ahmad Dutse; and Executive Director, Human Resources and Corporate Services, Mr Justin Dodo.
