Equities trading on the Nigerian Stock Market opened the week on a bullish note closing the All Share Index at 25,249.90 index points after 0.93% appreciation.
Equity investors on the bourse gained N121.9 billion as market capitalization appreciated by the same margin to close at N13.17 trillion.
A turnover of 230.49 million shares valued at N2.16billion in 4,621 deals was recorded in today’s trading.
FBNH was the most traded stock by volume at 34.52 million units while GUARANTY topped by value at N550 million.
Market breath closed positive with 31 gainers against 11 losers. WAPIC (10.00%) recorded the highest price gain to close at N0.33K per share, while JAPAUL OIL (-10.00%) led the laggards to close at N0.27K.
All the sectors under our coverage recorded gains. Notably, the industrial sector (+2.39%) topped the list, with BUACEMENT (+3.75%). The Insurance sector (+1.57%) followed suit, due to increases in WAPIC (+10.00%) and AIICO (+3.64%).

The Banking sector (1.09%) also moved up, due to JAIZBANK (+7.58%), STERLNBANK (+4.69%), and ACCESS (+0.15%). In the Energy (+0.24%) and Consumer Goods sectors (+0.04%), OANDO (+2.27%), UACN (+6.45%), and VITAFOAM (+5.37%) drove the gains, respectively. In addition, we saw buying interests in MTN (+1.72%) and NB (+1.19%).
