NNPC, IPPG donate medical supplies to South West state governments

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), have donated six ambulances to the south-west state governments to aid their efforts in containing the spread of the COVID-19.

Also included in the supplies are respiratory masks, personal protective equipment and other safety equipment which will be shared among the six states – Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, and Osun states.

The Lagos State Government, on Thursday, took delivery of these items at the State House, Marina.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who received the items on behalf of the south-west governors, thanked the donors and assured that the items would go a long way to improve the on-going efforts by the various states.

According to the last announcement from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos state has 504 confirmed cases, Osun has 20, Ogun has 24, Oyo – 17, Ekiti – 4 cases, and Ondo has 3.

Across Nigeria, 28 deaths have been recorded so far, with the south west region accounting for 17 of the deaths.
