The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has guaranteed its customers that there would be constant power supply during this lockdown period.
In a statement signed by the Company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr Adeoye Fadeyibi and seen by Nairametrics, the DisCo urged the customers to pay up and settle all bills using the online payment platforms so as to ensure optimal service delivery.
The company stated that although it had shut down its office outlets located in Lagos and Ogun States due to the Presidential order restricting movements, the staff would be available to clear out faults and ensure all customers receive power supply during this restrictive period.

“As you must be aware by now, we have reduced physical contact with our customers due to the coronavirus pandemic in order to contain and prevent further spread of the virus.
“Following the Presidential order on cessation of all movements in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for an initial period of 14 days effective from 11; 00 pm on Monday, 30th March 2020.
“Our offices shall remain closed save for our staff on essential services who will be available to clear out faults and ensure to all receive power supply (provided there is power supply from the grid) during this restrictive period,“ the statement read in part.”
Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) also implored customers to report faults resulting in darkness in the areas through the company’s hotline telephone numbers and website. It also advised its customers to stay safe and continue to take preventive measures to curtail the spread of the COVID-19.
