In a bid to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic, the Nigerian government has scaled up its preventive measures by contacting around 100 people, who might have been exposed to the Italian man that brought the virus to Nigeria.
Reuters reports that Lagos Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, on Sunday, March 1, 2020, said in order to curtail the virus from spreading quickly across the country, the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration and his counterpart in Ogun, Governor Dapo Abiodun has been making collaborative efforts.

The commissioner said, “It is around 100 people but that number is increasing every minute.
“The number is going up all the time as we find people who were on the flight. We found people who were on the journey to Ogun, in contact with him at the factory and people at the hotel.”
