… as Market Cap hits N13.03 trillion again

The Nigerian Stock Exchange witness a boom on Friday as the market indicator grew by 0.66% to close at 27,002.15 index points. Also, the market capitalization (Equity) increased by 0.66% to close at N13.03 trillion while the bourse traded in 227.18 million shares at N3.66 billion across 3,246 deals.

Top gainers

Unity bank plc led the gainers chart with 9.23% increase to close at N0.71 followed by A.G Leventis, which gained 9.09% to close at N0.36. Consolidated Hallmark Insurance gained 8.33% to close at N0.39 as UACN plc gained 6.67% to close at N8 while CCNN rounded off the list with 5.26% gain to close at N20.

Top losers

Ikeja Hotel was the worst performing stock of the bourse as it shed 9.6% to close at N1.13 followed by Cutix Plc which lost 8.23% to close at N1.45. Chams Plc lost 7.89% to close at N0.35.

Stanbic IBTC and Courteville Plc rounded off the list with 4.86% and 4% decline to close at N38.15 and N0.24 respectively.

Top trades by volume

UACN Plc traded 42.6 million shares valued at N334.8 million across 255 deals to become the most actively traded stock on bourse, followed by UBA, which traded 40.66 million shares at N286.6 million across 243 deals.

Zenith bank was also actively traded today with 27.18 million shares valued at N506.2 million across 447 deals. Nigerian Breweries plc traded in 21.04 million at N1.07 billion across 54 deals while Transcorp plc rounded off the list with trades in 15.9 million shares valued at N15.98 million across 64 deals.
