The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) ended Thursday’s trading session in positive territory. The All Share Index closed at 27,748.46 basis points, up 0.11%. Year to date, the index is down by 11.71%.

Top Gainers: Fidson Healthcare Plc was the best-performing stock today. The stock gained 9.76% to close at N4.50. Berger Paints Plc gained 9.65% to close at N6.25. NASCON Allied Industries Plc gained 6.87% to close at N14. Honeywell Flour Mill Plc gained 5.26% to close at N1. Unity Bank Plc rounded off the top five gainers for today. The stock gained 3.03% to close at N0.68.
Top Losers: On the flip side, Eterna Plc was the worst-performing stock, declining by 10% to close at N2.70. NCR Nigeria Plc fell by 8.62% to close at N5.30. Forte Oil Plc fell by 8.14% to close at N18.05. Wapic Insurance Plc fell by 7.14% to close at N0.39. Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc rounded off the top five losers for the day. The stock shed 4.76% to close at N0.20.

Top Trades by Volume: Zenith Bank Plc was the most actively-traded stock today. 11.5 million shares valued at N212 million were traded in 252 deals. United Bank for Africa Plc was next with 11.2 million shares valued at N67 million traded in 180 deals, followed by Lafarge Africa Plc with 10.2 million shares valued at N147 million traded in 138 deals.
Guaranty Trust Bank Plc was next with 8.3 million shares valued at N235 million traded in 239 deals. Transnational Corp of Nigeria Plc rounded off the top five most actively-traded stocks today with 7.1 million shares valued at N6.9 million traded in 108 deals.
