Drug manufacturer, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc, has released its consolidated financial statements for half-year 2019. Information contained in the result shows that the company performed well across all major financial indicators.
Revenue: GSK Nigeria’s revenue stood at N9.6 billion in half-year 2019 as against N8.5 billion in H1 2018. The company recorded a 15.9% increase in revenue despite the rise in cost of sale from N6.3 billion in H1 2018 to N6.5 in H1 2019.
Profit Before Tax: PBT stood at N531.5 million in H1 2019, indicating a 2.8% increase when compared to N517.2 recorded in H1 2018.
Profit After Tax: Profit for the half-year period also increased by 2.8% to N372 million compared to N362 million recorded in H1 2018.
Earnings Per Share stood at 31 kobo as against 30 kobo during the comparable period last year.
