President Muhammadu Buhari sent his ministerial list to the Senate on Monday evening through Executive Communication.

The much-anticipated list was read on the floor of the Senate today. Several reactions that trailed the announcement suggest that many Nigerians are not happy with the inclusion of some of the nominees on the list.

The reactions also bother on those who did not make the list, those that eventually made the list, former ministers who were expected to return, as well as the excitement and the dissatisfaction of Nigerians.

The reactions: 2019 Presidential candidate, Fela Durotoye, via his Twitter handle sought the opinions of Nigerians on how effective the nominees would be.

A leader is only as effective as the quality of his team.
Do you believe that President @MBuhari #MinisterialList will move Nigeria forward or backward?
I’m curious to know what you think.

Disappointment: Some Nigerians, who were eagerly waiting for the appointment of the former Governor of Lagos, Akinwumi Ambode, as a minister, were disappointed he didn’t make it. Others mocked the former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, who lost out, after showing certainty that he would be reappointed.

Some others felt the list is more like a compensation list rather than one based on merit.

The not too young to run: Some youths on social media showed how the present administration is not youth inclusive.

Zonal wars: There is never an online debate on politics without a tribal side to it, as many felt their political zones are not fully represented.

Southwest has only One each nominee except Lagos. This is sad! We have been sidelined .#MinisterialList
