The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed in the red today. The All Share Index ended today’s trading session at 31,210.79 basis points, down 0.48 %. Year to date, the index is down 0.70%

Top Gainers and Losers

McNichols Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 9.62% to close at N0.57. Dangote Flour Plc was next appreciating by 8.42% to close at N10.30. Ikeja Hotel Plc rounds up the top three gainers for today, adding 7.98% to close at N2.30. On the flip side, Learn Africa Plc was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 9.66% to close at N1.31. Transcorp Hotels Plc fell by 9.24% to close at N5.40. Law Union Plc rounds up the top three losers for today shedding 8.93% to close at N0.51.

Top Trades by Volume

Zenith Bank was the most actively traded stock today. 80.7 million shares valued at N1.8 billion were traded in 212 deals. Sterling Bank was next with 16.8 million shares valued at N41 million were traded in 204 deals. FCMB rounds up the top three most actively traded stocks today with 12 million shares valued at N23 million traded in 115 deals.
