The Nigerian Stock Exchange shed yesterday’s gains in today’s trading session. The All Share Index closed in the red in today’s trading session, down 0.65%. Year to date, the index remains in the green up 3.32%.
Top Gainers and Losers
Africa Prudential Plc was the best performing stock today as investors took position following the release of its FY 2018 results and declaration of a dividend. The stock gained 10% to close at N4.84. Oando Plc was next, appreciating by 9.85% to close at N7.25. AG Leventis Plc rounds up the top gainers, adding 9.68% to close at N0.34.
On the flip side, NPF Microfinance Bank was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 9.70% to close at N1.49. Union Bank shed 8.28% to close at N6.65. Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc which was the best performing stock last week, fell by 7.41% to close at N0.25.

Africa Prudential FY 2018 results
Africa Prudential Plc released its audited results for the 2018 financial year. Gross earnings increased from N3.3 billion in 2017 to N4.4 billion in 2018. Profit before tax rose from N2 billion in 2017 to N2.3 billion in 2018. Profit after tax also rose from N1.7 billion in 2017 to N1.9 billion in 2018.
The company declared a dividend of N0.50 per share.
