Nigerian Stock Stock

The bull run on the Nigerian Stock Exchange paused today as the All Share Index closed in the red. The index ended today’s trading at 32,413.92 basis points, down -0.15%. Year to date, the index is up 3.13%.

Gainers and Losers 

Berger Paints Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N8.25. Unilever Nigeria Plc was next appreciating by 10% to close at N44. Unity Bank Plc rounds up the top three gainers appreciating by 9.47% to close at N1.04. 

On the flip side, C&I Leasing Plc was the worst performing stock today. The stock shed 9.95% to close at N7.33. Champion Breweries Plc was next, declining by 9.55% to close at N1.61. PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc rounds up the top three losers for the day, dropping by 9.43% to close at N12. 

Top Trades by Volume  

Diamond Bank Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 131 million shares valued at N314 million were traded in 75 deals. Zenith Bank Plc was next with 44 million shares valued at N1 billion traded in 518 deals. UBA Plc rounds up the top three most actively traded with 40.6 million shares valued at N319 million traded in 395 deals.
