The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended today’s trading session on a positive note. The All Share Index closed at 30,137.53 basis points, up 0.58%. year to date, the index is down 4.11%.

Top Gainers and Losers

Cement Company of Northern Nigeria was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N22. Ikeja Hotel was next appreciating by 9.35% to close at N1.52. Royal Exchange rounds up the top three gainers adding 9.09% to close at N0.24

On the flip side, Air Service was the worst performing stock today. The stock shed 9.49% to close at N7.15. Veritas Kapital declined by 9.09% to close at N0.20. Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals rounds up the top three losers for the day, dropping 8.57% to close at N0.64.

Top Trades by Volume

Diamond Bank was the most actively traded stock today. 100 million shares valued at N209 million were traded in 148 deals.

Guaranty Trust Bank was next with 39.4 million shares valued at N1.3 billion traded in 236 deals. UBA rounds up the top three most actively traded stocks today. 26.1 million shares valued at N191 million traded in 256 deals.
