Dolika Banda steps down as Ecobank director

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) has announced the retirement of Ms. Dolika Banda from its board of directors.

In a statement signed by the company secretary, Madibinet Cisse thanked Ms. Banda for her significant contributions to the Ecobank Group.

Ms. Banda served as the non-executive director of ETI from 2014 and retired at the last Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ETI held on April 24, 2018, following the expiration of her time.

In its Q1 2018 for the quarter ended 31st March 2018, the bank recorded a 12% increase in gross earnings from $582 million in Q1 2017 to $649 million in Q1 2018. Profit before tax also grew by 48% from $74 million to $110 million in Q1 2018.

Its shares are currently traded at N20.00 on the floor of the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) with a one year return of 58.10%.
