Q1 2018 Results: Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc records 11% increase in profits

Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc today released its financial statements for the period ended Q1 March 31st 2018.

Here are the key highlights of the results;

Revenue

The company reported Revenue of ₦41.14 billion for the period ended March 2018 compared to ₦59.53 billion reported for the period ended March 2017. This represents a 31% decrease for the comparative period in 2017.

Profit Before Tax

Profit before tax was ₦8.39 billion for the period ended March 2018, a 19% increase from the ₦7.04 billion reported for the period ended March 2017.

Profit After tax

The company’s profit after tax for the period ended March 2018 was ₦5.28 billion compared to ₦4.76 billion reported March 2017. This represented a 11% increase for the comparative period in 2017.

Earnings Per Share

Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc also reported earnings per share of 45 kobo for the period ended March 2018 compared to 40 kobo reported for the period ended March 2017. This represents a 13% increase for the comparative period in 2017.

Current Share Price 

Dangote Sugar closed at ₦20.50 in today’s trading session, down 4.21%.
