Nigeria’s unemployment rate for the quarter ending September of 2017 was 18.8%. This compares to an unemployment rate of 16.2% for the immediate past quarter ended June 2017.
This is according to data recently published by the National Bureau of Statistics.

The unemployment rate measures the number of people eligible for employment in a country but not employed against the total number of people eligible for employment or working class population of the country. The Underemployment rate measures the total number of number of people eligible for employment in a country but employed in positions much lower than their skill against the total number of people eligible for employment or working class population of the country
