The Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo met with the traditional rulers of the North and the South East within a space of two days as he tried to stop the rising ethnic tensions around the country. The follows series of threats by some section of Northern Youth and Leaders requested that Igbos of South East extraction leave Nigeria. Reprisal warnings have come from other regions in the southern parts of Nigeria.
The separate speeches made by the Acting President reveals a rather contrastive approach towards getting traditional leaders to whip their people in the line of unity over ethnicity.
