In a statement to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Nigeria Breweries declared a final dividend of 2.58 Naira per share for the financial year ended 2016. These are highlights of the statement:
- Shareholders who qualify will be those in the books of the company’s register as at 8th march 2017.
- The company’s register will be closed from Thursday 9th of March 2017 to Wednesday 15th of March 2017 to update its list of members.
- The company had earlier paid a dividend of 1.00 naira in October 2016. Total dividend recommended for the year is thus 3.58 naira.
- Directors are also recommending the option of receiving new ordinary shares instead of final dividends.
