Coming on the heels of the just concluded #IStandWithNigeria nation wide protest, organized labour comprising the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) is set to hold its own demonstrations this Thursday. The protests are scheduled to take place in Lagos and Abuja, and will address the current state of the nation.

One wonders, did the NLC suddenly wake up from sleep ? Why did they not join the protests which held yesterday ? Did labour suddenly become aware of the recession which started from last year ? Or is the protest a cover to push for minimum wage. Thursday will tell.
