Nairametrics|Ex. Governor of Niger State, Abdulkadir Kure has passed on. Reports reaching Nairametrics state that he died in a German hospital. Kure, who hailed from Lapai local government was a two term governor in Niger State from 1999-2007. After his tenure, he was appointed board chairman of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA). He is survived by his family including his wife Sen. Zainab Kure who represented Niger South constituency in the Senate from 2007-2015. Kure was arrested in April last year by the EFCC as part of investigations into expenditure by immediate past National Security Adviser Col. Sambo Sasuki (rtd) He died aged 60.
