An official of the National Directorate of Employment has disclosed that the directorate have developed mechanisms to recover loans from defaulters.
Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, Edmund Onwuliri made this revelations in an interview with newsmen over the weekend.
He said majority of applicants that got their loans approved by participating in the NDE skills acquisition training, equipped and given start-up capital were yet to pay back their loans.
He advised loan defaulters to repay loans obtained to avoid compelling their guarantors from being forced to pay back the loans.
“You are dealing with human beings; even commercial banks are not finding it easy to recover loans from their clients.
“Our own case is peculiar as the organisation is dealing with unemployed youths who have no experience in business.”
