National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, has been sent to Kuje Prisons over the $2.1 billion arms scam on the orders of an Abuja High Court.
Justice Abang Okon of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja said the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary should be remanded in the prison till Tuesday the 19th of January.
Metuh was accused of having received N400 million out of the $2.1 billion meant for the purchase of arms from a former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.
Before his arraignment, Metuh had been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which is prosecuting him for collecting N400 million out of the $2.1 billion meant for the purchase of arms and ammunition to fight the Boko Haram insurgency.
