Nigerian Stocks Crash To A 4 Year Low

Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (ASI) dipped by 1.20% on Tuesday’s trading to close at 26,034.93 sending the market capitalization to a 4 year low. The stock market has now lost about 8% this year alone and could be on its way to record a double-digit loss in the first month of the year.

Market capitalization broke the N9 trillion support to close at N8.9 trillion after closing Tuesday hitting a level it last touched in December 2012.

A total of 7 stocks appreciated in value, while 29 stocks depreciated in value.

OKOMUOIL opened at N33.00 and closed at N36.25 gaining N3.25

DANGSUGAR opened at N5.76 and closed at N6.04 gaining N0.28

IKEJAHOTEL opened at N3.12 and closed at N3.27 gaining N0.15

VONO opened at N0.92 and closed at N0.96 gaining N0.04

LEARNAFRCA opened at N0.80 and closed at N0.82 gaining N0.02

ACCESS opened at N4.58 and closed at N4.60 gaining N0.02

DANGCEM opened at N159.98 and closed at N159.99 gaining N0.01

 

Here are some losers for the day;

NB opened N113.00 and closed at N109.50 losing -N3.50

ETI opened at N17.64 and closed at N16.78 losing -N0.86

ZENITHBANK opened N13.40 and closed at N12.90 losing -N0.50

PZ opened at N23.71 and closed at N23.29 losing -N0.07

7UP opened at N185.26 and closed at N185.00 losing -N0.26
