Acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has revealed his intention to create a new unit, in view of strengthening the commission’s efforts in fighting corruption. This unit will be called Procurement Fraud Unit.
Magu gave this hint while hosting a coalition of Civil Society Organisations who paid a courtesy call on his office.
Once more, he vowed to tackle all shades of corruption headlong, solicited support and collaboration of all stakeholders.
According to the chairman,“I am so concerned about procurement fraud. I am thinking of establishing a unit, purely on procurement fraud. When put in place, it will go a long way in checking corruption,”
The task of fighting corruption is a herculean task, and should not be left in the hands of anti corruption agencies alone.
Your participation and support for the anti corruption fight is key. Most importantly, I need your help to do the job. Let’s put heads together and move this country forward,”
