The Federal Government has reached out to some petroleum marketers to reschedule their programs for the supply of petrol,in order to bring forward the period of arrival for their scheduled vessels.
Inadequate supply of petrol is contributing to the lingering fuel scarcity that has set in over the past weeks despite the concerted interventions by the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and oil marketers to salvage the situation.
As such, the government is said to have pleaded with three or four marketers, whose vessels were scheduled to arrive in December, to bring them forward to this month, according to a marketer who asked to remain anonymous.
