Guinness Nigeria Appoints New Directors

Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Egerton-Shyngle as National Retail Sales Director, and Ms. Anne Maingi as Commercial Effectiveness Director.

The company in a release noted that both appointments are effective immediately. Emmanuel, a sales management professional, joined Guinness Nigeria from Cadbury Nigeria Plc where he was a sales director.

In his new role, he will lead the field sales organisation, ensuring delivery of the Sales strategy. He brings on board a broad multi-functional and cross-industry experience as well as a track record of implementing team strategies that have measurable benefits.

In his most recent role as sales director in Cadbury Nigeria, Emmanuel was responsible for Strategic market and business development, optimisation of the company’s route to market and effective distributor development. Emmanuel has a wealth of experience within the alcohol beverage industry having worked in various commercial roles in Nigerian Breweries for about 20 years before joining Fidson Nigeria as general manager and later Cadbury as sales director. Emmanuel also had a stint in the United Kingdom financial industry.

Also, Anne Maingi joined Guinness Nigeria from Unilever where she was head of modern retail and strategic implementation. She will drive the sales effectiveness strategic lever of the commercial function, bringing on board a wealth of experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry.

Prior to Unilever, Anne was with Reckitt Benckiser and Procter & Gamble. Her key strengths are around new business set up, route to market strategy and execution, sales strategy development, modern retail channel management and capability development.
