President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Goodluck Jonathan met briefly at the new banquet hall of the presidential villa, Abuja, on Monday afternoon.
The meeting lasted only 10 minutes, with no presidential aides in attendance. Jonathan, who arrived in a black Range Rover, was seen off by Buhari to the front of the venue after the meeting.
They shook hands, and Buhari waited until Jonathan’s car departed. They did not speak with reporters, while photojournalists were barred from taking pictures.
