- In what has been described as part of a multinational investigation, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) raided the Asokoro, Abuja home of former petroleum minister, Deziani Alison – Madueke.
- According to reports, Diezani was arrested in London, UK, today, by the newly formed International Corruption Unit (ICU) of the country’s National Crimes Agency.
- The operations it was gathered were being coordinated with several international agencies because of the “sensitive” nature of the investigation.
- EFCC made “significant recovery” of documents at the Abuja residence of the former minister, a senior security source said.
“The raid on her Asokoro residence today (Friday) produced vital information that will aid in the prosecution of the case,” the source said.
