The Nigerian Cassava Growers Association of Nigeria (NCGA) on Wednesday said it would partner with the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF) to establish an ethanol plant.
The National President of the Association, Mr Segun Adewumi, said that the plant would also serve as a bio-energy and power generation plant in ten states.
The EAIF is an international private infrastructure financier founded by the governments of UK, Sweden, Netherlands and Switzerland.
Adewumi said that to achieve that, the association would acquire 6,000 hectares of farmland in all the designated states for the cassava project.
