ENI’s CEO, Claudio Descalzi, paid his first visit to President Mohammadu Buhari while in Abuja.

The meeting was an opportunity for ENI to update the President on the company’s activities in Nigeria for the development of both oil and gas resources. Buhari was reportedly pleased with the progress achieved in the offshore activities.
- During the meeting Descalzi renewed his condolences for the tragedy caused by the recent explosion of a company’s pipeline in the Niger Delta, due to acts of sabotage, which resulted in the death of 14 people.
