Reports suggest Dangote Cement has been granted 5-year approval for a 27 hectare pozzolan quarry in Tombel in South West Cameroon.
It is expected that the raw materials excavated from the quarry will help the company produce Cement. The plant is expected to produce 1 million tonnes of cement per annum helping Cameroon achieve over 3 million tonnes per annum.
Lafarge Group already produces about 1.6 million tonnes per annum according to reports.
