It’s no longer news that the CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi Lamido will be leaving the helm at the CBN. As expected the market and pundit alike have are finding it as hard to predict who the next Governor should be and as what at what course policy making might take.
This article in the Guardian reveals one of such worries in a very succinct but potentially troubling take;
Sanusi is giving a signal that he is in hurry to go. One wonders whether there is something terrible he has seen in the economy, which has defiled all solutions. Maybe, he wants to run away from it in hurry. It is not traditional for a governor of CBN to give such signal to the market; it gives a sign of instability,” he notes.
