I have always had an apathy towards subscribing to any of the numerous Estate we see advertised in the papers and on TV everyday. Whilst some have been quite good and worked well for subscribers, many haven’t been that lucky. Subscribers to the Jacob Mews Estate in Adekunle area of Yaba, Lagos, are currently engaged in a running battle with the management of Howard Roark Limited, an estate development company, over the delay in delivering the houses that they have paid for.
A meeting between the subscribers and management of Howard Roark was conveyed on Saturday to calm the nerves of the subscribers, who have been waiting patiently to take possession of their properties since the project began in 2008.
Some of the subscribers, who spoke with our correspondent, said they had paid as much as 50 per cent of the cost of their choice houses, while others made full payment ranging from N24m to N42m for the flats, maisonettes and condos.
