I hardly blog jobs, but when I see something that can help improve finances I won’t hesitate to inform. Now, if you are interested in being a fire fighter or got anyone who is looking for a job then I suggest they read The Guardian of May 15, 2013 page 32 for a full page advertorial from the National Fire Academy (heck, I didn’t even know we had one).
The Academy is training intending applicants for several fire fighting courses with multiple duration all through 2013. I didn’t see any fee schedule in the advertorial and can’t confirm if its free. I think it is worth a try considering every state needs its own Fire Service. They claim the academy is fully equipped with library, recreational facilities and a 30 bed hostel (quite small). By the way, I don’t think they have a functional website.
