UAC Plc released its 2013 Q1 accounts with revenues rising 30% to N19.4billion. Operational profit also rose 14% to N1.7billion from N1.5billion posted Q1 2011. Pre-tax profits at the end of the period was N1.9billion 47% higher than the prior year.

Despite increase in top line and bottom line gross profit margin and operational profit margins all saw double digit drops
However, this was not enough to stop the company from posting higher profits during the period. Income from other sources also helped as it offset finance cost during the period.
The company took about N10billion in additional debt in the first quarter of 2013 increasing debt to equity ratio to 67%
Their share price is currently N71.1 and has a P.E ratio of 27x. The share price has risen 118x in the last one year
