NIGERIAN LABOUR CONGRESS (NLC)

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) has issued an order of interim injunction restraining members of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and their affiliates from proceeding with their earlier planned strike action scheduled to commence on Tuesday, November 14.
The President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Festus Osifo, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured that the Port Harcourt refinery will become operational at the end of this year. 
Hike in electricity tariff to be suspended for 2 weeks, while new pump price of petrol remain unchanged.
Nigeria's lower federal legislative chamber has appealed to Labour to suspend its planned strike action.
IPMAN will not be part of the strike the NLC is calling, as it is not part of NLC.
All aviation workers are directed to withdraw their services at all aerodromes nationwide on 28th September 2020.
The NLC has given the Federal Government a two week ultimatum or it will embark on a nationwide strike.
NLC has appealed with Speaker of the House of Representatives to hasten the labour act amendment and put an end to the casualization of workers.
