In a notice posted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) website today, the exchange notified members of the investing community that the board and management of Global Spectrum Energy Services Plc led by the Chairman, Dr. Engr. Godwin Omene, will be at the NSE on Monday, November 27, 2017 for the listing of the Shares of Global Spectrum Energy Services Plc on the Daily Official List of The NSE. The company will also address capital market stakeholders with a Facts Behind the Listing presentation.
Global Spectrum Energy Services was incorporated in 2006, is an integrated Oil & Gas Offshore Support Vessel Services Company involved in many of the key Oil and Gas producing areas in West Africa. Our range of Services covers complimentary Offshore Support Vessel Services, Maritime Security, Logistics, Energy and Engineering Services.
A cursory look at the company’s website however provides no information about the company’s board or management including its Chairman Dr. Engr. Godwin Emene. An email sent to the company earlier this month requesting for more information was acknowledged, but no information was provided.
Why then does the company have little information available about its board ? How then was the company able to qualify for listing with such scant information ? This would have been excusable in a start up, but not a company that is over 10 years old. One would expect that the NSE would ascertain the level of the company’s transparency before its listing, but that appears not to have been done.
