The Federal Government has released a comprehensive schedule for the various national examination that are scheduled to start on August 17, 2020.
This disclosure was made by the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, in Abuja, after a series of meetings with Chief Executives of examination bodies in the country.
Nwajiuba said that the West African Examination Council (WAEC-SSCE) will start on August 17, 2020, while the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examination will start on September 21 and end on October 15 2020.
The other details of the schedule indicate that the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for SS3 conducted by National Examination Council (NECO) will start on October 5 and end on November 18, 2020.

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for JSS 3 also conducted by NECO will start on August 24 and end on September 7, 2020.
Furthermore, the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), which is a one-day NECO examination for intending applicants and Unity Colleges (JSS1) will run in between the Senior School Certificate Examinations, that is on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Registration for the NECO (SSCE) which is on-going, will end on September 10, 2020, and there shall be no extension for the registration whatsoever. It was further clarified that the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) examination will start on Wednesday, September 23 and end on October 17, 2020.
The Minister then directed all the examination bodies to release the details of their examination schedules within the next 7 days.
