The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed eight new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. This means the total confirmed cases in the country is now 89.
This was disclosed by NCDC via its Twitter handle on Saturday. The agency tweeted, āEight new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria, seven in Lagos State and one in Benue.
āAs of 04:00 pm on 28th of March, there are 89 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with one dead.

āFor a breakdown of cases by states in real time, Lagos currently has 59 cases, FCT ā three, Ekiti ā one, Oyo ā three, Edo ā two, Bauchi ā two, Osun ā one, Rivers ā one, Enugu ā two, and Benue ā one.ā
