Godwin Onoro has been appointed as the acting Managing Director of Pensions Alliance Limited, a leading Pension Fund Administrator in Nigeria.
This announcement was made public by the company secretary, Folasade Modebelu, who disclosed that the tenure of the previous Managing Director, Mrs. Morohunke Bammeke, ended on October 3, 2019.
Onoro’s role is to manage the affairs of the company till a substantive Managing Director is announced. He has been the company’s Executive Director of Finance and Operations since 2013.

Reacting to the development, the company said that the change in the leadership would not impact its business. It also assured stakeholders of its commitment to delivering competitive returns on their retirement savings, while ensuring that they retire well.
About Godwin Onoro: Godwin oversees the activities of the Contributions & Collections, Finance, and ICT departments. He is a seasoned Accountant with over 21 years of post-qualification experience which spans through the Financial Services, FMCG & Telecommunication sector.
He began his career in an audit firm, Eyewumi Rone & Co as Audit Trainee. He moved to Nestle Foods Nigeria Plc as Assistant Internal Auditor and rose to the position of Project Accountant. Thereafter, he worked at the then Crystal Bank of Africa as Credit Admin Officer and Resident Inspector. He later joined Guinness Nigeria Plc as Auditor and rose to the position of Audit Team Manager from where he joined Vee Networks Nigeria Limited as Senior Auditor.
Godwin joined Pensions Alliance Limited in October 2005 as Head, Audit & Risk Management. He rose to the position of Head Pensions Administration & Operations and now Executive Director Finance and Operations (CFO).
Godwin has professional experience in both startups (PAL Pensions, Nestle Nigeria Ltd, Vee Networks) and growth organisations (Nestle Nigeria Plc, Guinness and then Crystal Bank), with competencies in Financial, Strategic, Operational and Risk Management.
He holds a B.Sc. in Accounting. He is also an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a dealing clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
