The Stock market closes bullish

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) ended Thursday’s trading session in positive territory. The All-Share Index closed at 27,426.64 basis points, up 1.01%.

Top Gainers: Forte Oil Plc was the best-performing stock today. The stock gained 9.64% to close at N15.35. Dangote Sugar Plc gained 9.41% to close at N9.3. Nestle Nigeria Plc gained 7.14% to close at N1200. Lafarge Nigeria Plc also gained 3.13% to close at N14.85. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc rounded off the top five gainers for today. The stock gained 2.23% to close at N27.5.

Top Losers: On the flip side, NPF Microfinance Bank Plc was the worst-performing stock, declining by 4.31% to close at N1.11. Unity Bank Plc fell by 4.29% to close at N0.67. NASCON Allied Industries Plc fell by 2.31% to close at N12.7. Dangote Flour Mills Plc fell by 0.45% to close at N22. Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc rounded off the top five losers for the day. The stock shed 0.38% to close at N13.2.

Top Trades by Volume: Access Bank Plc was the most actively-traded stock today. 17 million shares valued at N119.2 million were traded in 289 deals. Transnational Corp of Nigeria Plc was next with 14.6 million shares valued at N15 million traded in 52 deals, followed by Union Bank of Nigeria Plc with 10 million shares valued at N70.3 million traded in 13 deals.

FBN Holdings Plc was next with 9.9 million shares valued at N50.4 million traded in 305 deals. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc rounded off the top five most actively traded stocks today with 7.2 million shares valued at N198.7 million traded in 133deals.
