Top Gainers: Continental Reinsurance Plc was the best-performing stock today. The stock gained 4.32% to close at N1.45. Custodian and Allied Insurance Plc also gained 3.33% to close at N6.20. Africa Prudential Plc gained 1.41% to close at N3.60. Union Bank of Nigeria Plc gained 0.74% to close at N6.80. Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc rounded off the top five gainers for today. The stock gained 5% to close at N0.2.

Top Losers: On the flip side, UAC of Nigeria Plc was the worst-performing stock, declining by 10% to close at N4.95. NPF Microfinance Bank Plc fell by 9.32% to close at N1.07. Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc fell by 8.50% to close at N14. Total Nigeria Plc fell by 7.84% to close at N105. Chams Plc rounded off the top five losers for the day. The stock shed 7.69% to close at N0.24.
Top Trades by Volume: Guaranty Trust Bank Plc was the most actively-traded stock today. 49.8 million shares valued at N1.2 billion were traded in 363 deals. Zenith Bank Plc was next with 34.7 million shares valued at N563 million traded in 594 deals, followed by Access Bank Plc with 33.2 million shares valued at N199 million traded in 205 deals.
FBN Holdings Plc was next with 20.4 million shares valued at N97.4 million traded in 290 deals. Fidelity Bank Plc rounded off the top five most actively traded stocks today with 10.6 million shares valued at N15.8 million traded in 77 deals.
