The NSE kicks-off the week with a negative turn-out in trades

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) ended Monday’s trading session in negative territory. The All Share Index closed at 30,322.19 basis points, down 0.36%. Year to date, the index is down 3.53%.

Top Gainers: Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N0.22. UACN Property Development Co Plc gained 10% to close at N1.65. Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc gained 8.70% to close at N0.25. Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc gained 8% to close at N0.27. Forte Oil Plc rounds up the top five gainers for today by gaining 2.91% to close at N26.50.

Top Losers: On the flip side, CCNN Plc was the worst performing stock, declining by 10% to close at N13.50. Unity Bank Plc fell by 10% to close at N0.63. NAHCO Plc fell by 9.73% to close at N3.06. Courteville Business Solutions Plc fell by 9.09% to close at N0.20. Cutix Plc rounds up the top five losers for the day shedding 8.75% to close at N1.46.

Top Trades by Volume: Zenith Bank Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 70,250,691 shares valued at N1,419,876,727.50 were traded in 311 deals. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc was next with 23,099,981 shares valued at N706,054,328.05 traded in 242 deals. Ecobank Transnational Inc followed with 18,134,665 shares valued at N177,719,910.70 traded in 24 deals. 15,706,165 shares of Custodian and Allied Insurance Plc valued at N95,022,298.25 was traded in 8 deals. FBN Holdings Plc rounds up the top five most actively traded stocks today with 11,475,293 shares valued at N80,246,751.05 traded in 144 deals.

Corporate Actions: 

Daar Communications Plc issued a statement on the NSE, thanking the general public for their continuous solidarity to the company.

Lafarge Africa Plc notified its shareholders that it would further delay the release of its annual Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December 2018 because of key matters relating to the statement that need resolving.

Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc announced its intention to host a capital markets event at the London Stock Exchange in London for analysts and investors on Wednesday 26th of June at 15:00 London Time. The session will focus on the Assa North and Ohaji South (“ANOH”) greenfield gas and condensate development project, in Nigeria.
